Welcome to Summit Valley Farm
Where we do life and health...naturally!
Nestled in the northwest woods of RI, we are a small hobby farm that includes numerous
animals and gardens!
We live as naturally and simply as we can by reusing things many times over in Dan’s many creative building projects, growing our own fruits and veggies, supporting local farmers, buying local meat when we can and food preservation.
I am a natural wellness guide. I use physical exercise, energy healing, herbs and diet to keep myself well, naturally! My formal education includes two intense herbalism courses, an aromatherapy course for the safe use of essential oils, a full 500 hour Yoga Teacher certification with classes in guided meditation, and a Master Reflexology certification. I have studied Nutritional Therapy, am a certified nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition and am in the process of completing the NESTA Personal Trainer certification.
I have completed my Reiki Master Teacher certification and am a Certified Crystal Healer. As an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church, I can perform all types of ceremonies within RI including non-denominational/non-religious marriages and vow-renewals, pagan handfasting and also new home blessings.
All of my formal training, along with numerous years of my own experience, can help me guide you in the right direction so you can find what works best for you!
I am a true believer in the body’s ability to heal itself, in most cases, if we would just let it do its job with a little help from Mother Nature along the way! My family has been using the medicine that I make from plants and food to get us through illnesses for many years with no help from antibiotics, fever reducers, pain relievers or other over the counter drugs. We manage our way through cold and flu seasons, upset tummies, sore muscles and headaches with herbal remedies.
Whatever herbs I do not grow on (or wildcraft from) my own property, I carefully choose to purchase from Mountain Rose Herbs, a leader in clean business practices and quality, organic products and also from local farmers.
I enjoy working low-waste living into my day to day, doing little things as often as I can to help reduce the footprint I leave on this planet. Buying in bulk at the local co-ops using my own reusable containers and bags, cutting down drastically on one-time use plastics, and making and canning my own foods are all things I work towards all the time.
I am a work in progress for sure (and probably always will be) but I would love for you to join me on this
journey to natural wellness! This website (along with my Facebook, eBooks, Instagram, and YouTube channel) will help you along by providing insight and fun new things to learn! I look forward to helping you on your journey, no matter what stage you are in!

Working with herbs is something that you should always talk to your medical care provider about, especially if you are pregnant or nursing,
have known allergies or are currently on medications. People react in different ways to herbal treatments, dosing amounts may need to be adjusted accordingly or there is always an alternative. Herbs can work with your body to help you maintain great health and help your body learn to heal itself; they are not to be used as a substitute
for emergent medical treatment. I am not a medical doctor or registered dietician. I cannot diagnose or treat any condition and cannot prescribe a specific diet plan; but, what I can do is offer you information, warnings and experience on herbal and other substitutes to modern pharmaceuticals that have been used successfully for generations and assist you with proper nutrition guidelines. Herbal medicine and its claims are not regulated by the FDA so be smart about your health and do your research!
